Libera Mente

The group was founded in 2009, based on an idea by choreographer Paola Campagna, who began a long journey of research into gesture and danced movement, focusing on personal expression on stage.

Over the years, the research has increasingly moved toward the authentic essence of the individual—a truth that manifests through the body in the moment of action. The work primarily uses improvisation as a tool to access each person’s original expression. Performances are then composed through a visual language that defines the choreographer’s unique style.

The stage is seen as a space where one brings their true self, embracing the risk of being fully present in the moment—not to exhibit, but to express, communicate, and reveal the most sensitive and valuable aspects of the person.

Over the years, the collective has presented the following performances within the programs of the cultural association Duncan 3.0:

  • “Cassandra… like a fish out of water” – 2010
